If the cards do not print carefully, the following tests can be performed before changing the ribbon:

- Clean the printer with the alcohol-soaked card (located inside the printer case or you can ask CATCert) and run a Clean Printer from the Printer Diagnostics menu.

- Increase intensity when applying force on the print and therefore a more intense monochrome:

· Access the Tools and Properties (Printer Toolbox) of the Datacard printer. It can be accessed from the start bar by double-clicking on the printer drawing icon or from Start - Programs - Datacard.

· Once in the Printer Toolbox console, click Advanced Properties or Advanced Setup.

· Then, clicking on the tab will be offered to the advanced properties, the "Printhead" option:

· With the “Monochrome” option selected. Just move the ruler to the right if you want more power or to the left if you want less power. This power will result in a greater or lesser intensity of black.

If the above test fails, follow these steps:

- Set up calibration from advanced printer settings:

· Run Diagnostics for printers (via Start - Programs - Datacard Printer - Printer for Diagnostics)

· File option

· User Properties option

· Click Advanced User

· Finally enter the password 926918

- Once this is done, you can access the advanced settings and perform the last step:

· Access Printer Values

· Change K Power and K Base Power settings. Preferably about 20 points should be raised for each parameter.
