To check the validity of a certificate, follow these steps:
- Have the operating certificate:
- If it is in software we will have it installed in the internet browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)
- If it is on a device (card or USB memory), we will have it connected to our computer.
- Once confirmed step 1, we access the website https://scd.aoc.cat/test/sign (the recommended browsers to do this test is Google Chrome (Internet Explorer 11 also recommended, but from August 2021 Microsoft stops supporting and updating this browser.
- Enter a test text and select the option with which you want to sign this text.
- If we have more than one certificate, we will be asked to select the one we want to check.
- You will be asked for the certificate PIN in case you are using a card certificate.
- When the page loads, it will show us the signature information.
How to interpret the results: The result is as shown in the following image. You can see the signed text, the signature (a check indicating that everything was OK ) and the information about the certificate that signed the text.
